Dream is a magazine that aims to inform those who are unfamiliar or, misinformed with the Deferred Actions of Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which protects undocumented youth who came to the U.S. as children from deportation. DACA also grants these youth work permits and driver licenses renewable for 2-year periods.
The term Dreamer derives from a legislative bill, first introduced in 2001, called the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act. It has yet to be approved by Congress.
Dream shines a light on the quiet resilience of young American Dreamers by telling their experiences and hopes for the program.
