Girls Gone Veiled
My project reimagines the narratives surrounding niqabi and burqa-clad women, portraying them in unexpected, dynamic scenarios that challenge stereotypes. By depicting activities like skateboarding, playing soccer, and horseback riding, it aims to break down preconceived notions and celebrate the individuality and strength of these women. Through this work, I hope to spark conversations about representation and highlight the diverse experiences within modest fashion. This project is deeply personal, inspired by a desire to redefine perspectives and honor the resilience of women in my community.
