Dear Mom and Dad is a series of black-and-white linoleum prints inspired by Hungarian and Norwegian folktales passed down from my parents. The ten prints, five Hungarian and five Norwegian, focus on symbolic imagery to convey the moral essence of each story, rather than retelling the narrative. The uniform size and stark black-and-white contrast represent the clarity of these morals. This series invites viewers to draw their own interpretations and explores my evolving artistic style, cultural identity, and connection to my heritage. It is dedicated to my parents for their unwavering support of my artistic journey.
