Mason’s School of Art presents its biannual Art and Design Senior Show: SPECTRA, anexhibition showcasing the works and talents of graduating Mason seniors.

Why Spectra?

Inspired by the spectrum of colors, we often associate them with a wide range of subjects– emotions, personalities, stories, and more. As students of George Mason University’s School of Art and Design, the work we have produced reflects this diversity, spanning a rich array of themes, energies, and emotions. Each piece is crafted by individuals with beauty, unique stories, and messages to share. This concept of a spectrum, representing various aspects of life, forms the core of our exhibition. With multiple spectrums at play, we’ve named it  “SPECTRA,” embodying the collective expression of our diverse, talented, and hardworking community.

The Exhbition

The exhibition is the culmination of three months of work on students’ capstone projects. It features explorations in animation, drawing, printmaking, photography, painting, sculpture, and graphic design from nearly 50 artists in their graduating senior semester for the Art and Visual Technology  degree. We strongly encourage everyone to attend both shows!
