Mira Sol

Medium: Paperclay

Mira Sol is a figure who refuses to be confined to one form or world. She emerged gradually through creative exploration and different mediums until she insisted on existing in physical space. Her presence reflects the fluid nature of identity and the way an artwork can begin to live beyond its maker, urging the audience’s subjectivity to inform her various forms. She does not only reflect the artist and their gaze but reflects the individual narratives of her viewers. Mira Sol serves as a metaphor for how we construct our individual identities, highlighting the tension between the selves we present and the ways we are seen, interpreted, or misunderstood by others.
