Protest By Design
Medium: Mixed Media
Protest By Design looks at how design shapes movements from the Civil Rights Movement to my imagined future. I explore posters, typography, and visual language as tools that carry culture, history, and collective voice. Design in protest is often afterthought, yet it is what mobilizes people, spreads awareness, and builds community across different spaces and generations. Through this work, I highlight how design forms the foundation of movements and continues to shape activism over time. I want viewers to recognize design as present within activism spaces and to see its power not just as support, but as an active force that shapes action, memory, and change across generations and communities.
