Through Their Eyes
Medium: 3D Animation
Growing up, I always loved animals, so learning about recreational hunting through Bambi was shocking. I’ve often wondered how people justify killing animals for fun. While I understand hunting for survival or controlling invasive species, it troubles me that some hunters don’t ensure a quick, humane death. This project aims to encourage empathy and self-reflection on that issue. Since discovering animal cruelty through animation, I want this work to highlight a topic that is rarely discussed but deeply important. I believe it is morally wrong for deer to suffer for human satisfaction, especially as trophies. Humans should not place themselves above other lives. Many deer take 15–20 minutes to die, often leaving their young without care, leading to further unnecessary suffering.
