20 Hours is a visual telling of my poem “And So, The Train Departed.” The poem revolves around a man taking a 20-hour train ride and making a friend along the way. I plan on portraying my photos in a salon display hanging. To connect the photos and map with my poem, I will have the poem on the opposite side of the photo chunks. I was originally inspired to write this poem when riding the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. The whole ride, going up and coming down, felt like 20 hours. Remembering the feeling of how long it felt gave me the name of my project.
