A Man Needs More In Life
Medium: Mixed Media Installation
A Man Needs More In Life is an installation piece that depicts the nuances of vulnerability. The audience views the figure through the layers of curtains, turning themselves into the voyeurs that create the vulnerability of the figure, showing vulnerability as a point between comfort and discomfort influenced by the agendas of its participants.
The human drive to avoid discomfort in its various forms is the single greatest source of human discomfort. Vulnerability is just one form of discomfort, and discomfort is a necessary and healthy mode of existence to be in. There is peace in suffering and there is peace from suffering.
