Inner Metamorphosis

Medium: Oil on canvas and paper collage

Inner Metamorphosis is a two-piece artwork that focuses on the theme of personal growth, depicting the transformation from my insecure self to a newly developed self. The concept of this piece was inspired by my ambition to change my current fearful and insecure self into a person with self-confidence. This artwork consists of an oil painting representing my current self and a paper collage representing my desired self. I included photo-collaged origami butterflies to symbolize the fond memories in my life that shape my identity. As someone who struggles with expressing feelings through words, I aim to share my identity visually through this two-piece artwork.
