In 2000, Franz Vargas Navia moved to the United States in search of the desired “American Dream”. Never had Franz assumed his journey would bring him to start a career in Auto repair to purchasing a repair shop of his own. Franz & Furious is an artistic archive chronicling the hard work it takes to pursue the American Dream. Through the dedication this car shop was built on, Driven Auto repair is the testament of hard work, community, steadfast determination, and most importantly...family. The photography pieces featured in this series detail critical members of the Driven community and the space that envelopes them together. Leaning on texture and materials found in such a space, the photography is complemented with these innate materials, connecting the medium to the subjects.
