The Messages We Never Sent explores digital communication that remains incomplete, unexpressed, or unresolved through a physical installation. A phone will sit on a pedestal, with threads extending outward to connect messages of love, loss, anger, chaos, and doubt. The threads act as links between different emotions and conversations, highlighting connections that are often left unfinished. Through typography, hierarchy, and spacing, the piece reflects the flow and disjointedness of real conversations. Culturally, it responds to messaging habits that lean towards speed, editability, and incompleteness. The goal is to encourage reflection on emotional expression, relationships, and the weight of what remains unsaid, supported by research into message structures and thematic organization.
