Tailored Colors

Medium: Print Media

Tailored Colors is about showing how people with different types of color blindness see the world. Instead of just converting the colors of the original piece, I hand-selected a color palette for each panel to match each type of color blindness. The image is an abstract landscape and I started with an original piece I made. I then adapted it into a lenticular design so that you see the art piece on the left side and information about the type of blindness it represents on the right side. The perspective is a key part of this piece because it highlights how different ways of seeing are valuable.

The goal is not to show limitations but to celebrate the beauty and different perspectives that come with how people see colors differently. I want people to understand and appreciate these different ways of seeing. It is about recognizing that these perspectives are important and finding ways to make them more understandable for everyone. I hope this work helps us all be more inclusive and see the beauty in different perceptions.
