Going into the art program, you don’t really get opportunities to create things for yourself. Especially once you get a job in the art industry. I wanted this project to connect deeply with me, but also something that showcases my full creative potential. This is why I decided to create a Pokemon art book based on the island Luzon in the Philippines. This project was a way to help me connect with my Filipino roots and learn about my culture through something I know an absurd amount about…Pokemon.
